Mark Selby, the Masters champion, made three centuries in four frames in dismissing Andrew Higginson 5-0 in 71 minutes to reach the last 16 of the Royal London Watches Grand Prix in Glasgow. The 25-year-old's nine-year professional career has brought him 89 centuries, more than a third of which have come in the last 18 months.
Ding Junhui also administered a 5-0 whitewash against Jamie Burnett, a Scottish qualifier, who aggregated only 44 points, but the world No2, Stephen Maguire, was a 5-1 loser to Jamie Cope.
