GoodBye

Just trying to work out,,
What's a proper goodbye?
Is it standing in front of them,,
Saying it with tears in your eyes?

Is it the breakdown you have,,
After they're already gone?
Is it that wishful thinking,,
That this won't leave you scorn?

Or maybe it's just the thinking,,
About them everyday?
Or perhaps even the cutting,,
Trying to bleed the pain away.

I don’t know what a proper goodbye is,,
So I'll just except the pain ..
I will no longer cry tears of hope,,
For there's no satisfaction to gain.

So whisper a subtle goodbye,,
While wiping the tears from your eyes.
I won’t be here tomorrow,,
So smile; Forget all sorrow ...
