British Olympic boxer Billy Joe Saunders has been suspended following reports of lewd behaviour in a hotel. The 18-year-old welterweight, who was knocked out of the competition in Beijing last week, learned on his return home that he had been banned by the Amateur Boxing Association pending a full investigation into his conduct.
Saunders will be summoned to a disciplinary meeting over the allegations about his behavior towards a French woman in a hotel in which the Great Britain team were staying.
