Olympics: Degale Guarantees Third Boxing Bronze for Britain
British middleweight boxer James DeGale cruised through his quarter-final to secure himself at least a bronze medal
James DeGale guaranteed Team GB its third boxing medal of the Beijing Games with a straightforward 8-3 points victory over Bakhiytar Artayev of Kazakhstan in the middleweight quarter-final.
DeGale now has a bronze in his back pocket but looks good to go even further after another dominant performance by a British boxer at the Workers' Gymnasium, following David Price and Tony Jeffries' progression to the semi-final stage earlier this week.
