Fulham Agree £11m Fee for Johnson

Andy Johnson is due to have a medical in west London today after Everton agreed to sell him for £10.5m
Andy Johnson is due to have a medical at Fulham today after the club agreed a £11m transfer fee for the striker with Everton. That fee could rise to £13m depending on potential success for both Johnson and Fulham.

Everton are expected to use the money obtained from the transfer to make an improved bid for the Sporting Lisbon and Portugal midfielder Joao Moutinho. Everton had an initial £11.8m bid for the 21-year-old Moutinho rejected over the weekend, with Sporting demanding £20m.

If Fulham complete the deal for Johnson, he will become Roy Hodgson's seventh signing since the end of the season, when Fulham completed a remarkable escape from relegation with a 1-0 victory at Portsmouth. Johnson would join Mark Schwarzer, Zoltan Gera, David Stockdale, Andranik Teymourian and last week's £6.3m signings from West Ham, Bobby Zamora and John Pantsil.

Johnson has scored 22 goals in 74 appearances for Everton after becoming their record signing for £8.6m two years ago.
