Addiction

A mother's choice and how it will affect her...
Looking at you there is a pain in my chest
Because he told me I deserve the best
I make the heart-wremching decision to walk away
And hope it won't all end this way

My voice was too small to you mum
And I was not ever seen as your number one
You loved the bottle, box and can
Please turn away now when you still can

You're going to repeat history
And you're going to loose her, as well as me
Next year I'll be in my new home
Leaving you to destruct on your own

So thanks for the nights when I'd hold back your hair
And sit up at night when I knew you weren't there
The ruined sleepovers, birthdays and Christmas
Will you even miss us?

I'll still send you a card, though it will be bitter
You'll see my kids but never be the sitter
I'll never forgive you ever
But you've still your friend the bottle forever
