Tour De France: Piepoli Climbs to 10th Stage Win

Leonardo Piepoli of Saunier-Duval beat team-mate Juan Jose Cobo Acebo and Frank Schleck to victory in the 156km stage
Leonardo Piepoli of Italy has won the grueling 10th stage of the Tour de France, which features the two biggest climbs in the Pyrenees this year.

Kim Kirchen of Luxembourg was set to lose the yellow jersey he has worn for four straight days, although it was not immediately clear who would take it, either Cadel Evans of Australia or Frank Schleck of Luxembourg.

Most of the pre-race favorites distanced themselves from the main pack in the 156km (96.9 mile) stage from Pau to Hautacam which features the passes of Tourmalet and Hautacam, climbs so hard they are beyond classification.

Riders have their first of two rest days on Tuesday with the three-week race finishing in Paris on July 27.
