Luis Leon Sanchez wins stage seven of the Tour de France
Spain's Luis Leon Sanchez won the 159km seventh stage of the Tour de France after breaking away from the leading group just 3km from the end.
Stefan Schumacher finished second in front of Filippo Pozzato in close third. There were several retirements during the stage, including former French champion Christophe Moreau, who was fourth overall in the 2001 race.
Kim Kirchen of Luxemburg retains the overall leader's yellow jersey going into tomorrow's eighth stage.
