Mourinho Casts Doubt Over Lampard Inter Move

Jose Mourinho says Frank Lampard is unlikely to move to Inter this summer, but is '100%' sure of signing the midfielder next year
Jose Mourinho has played down his hopes of taking Chelsea's Frank Lampard to Internazionale this summer but claims he is "100% sure" the midfielder will make the move in 12 months' time.

The arrival of Deco at Chelsea appears to suggest Lampard's future lies away from Stamford Bridge. However, the former Blues boss Mourinho is quoted by The Sun today admitting it is unlikely the 30-year-old will be at the San Siro any time soon.

"This season? I don't think so," Mourinho said. "Why won't he? Well, it's not because we don't want him to, but I'm sure Chelsea and Chelsea's officials don't want to sell him.

"However for the next season it will be easier for him to join me at Inter. I'm 100% sure in 2009/2010 he will be playing here."

Lampard's contract at Stamford Bridge expires next summer.
