Arsenal have signed French playmaker Samir Nasri from Marseille for £15.8m
Arsenal have signed the French playmaker Samir Nasri from Marseille for £15.8m, according to his personal wesbite.
The 20-year-old midfielder, Nasri has committed to a four-year deal, underwent a medical in London last week, following France's elimination from Euro 2008. ''We inform you that Samir won't be an Olympic Marseille player next season and that he has signed a four-year contract with London club Arsenal," a statement on his website said today.
Nasri made two substitute appearances at Euro 2008. He has spent the last four seasons with Marseille and came to prominence in France's Under-17 European Championship side in 2004. Nasri can play on either wing and won the French first division's young player of the year award in 2007.
