Madonna Slams Break Up Rumors
Madonna has slammed rumors that she has hired a divorce lawyer and has separated from her husband Guy Ritchie.

Recently it was rumored that Madonna and Ritchie were calling it quits and it has even been rumored that she had hired famed lawyer Nicholas Mostyn, the same lawyer that represented Sir Paul McCarthy in his divorce from Heather Mills. Madonna’s camp has slammed the rumors. Her rep reportedly told Ok! Magazine, "There is no truth to reports of a divorce, Madonna has not met with any lawyers nor are there any plans for a divorce." The rocky marriage rumors have been dogging the couple all year, but they have consistently denied that their marriage is anything but stable.
Madonna, 49, and Ritchie, 35, have been married for about 8 years. They met in 1999 through their mutual friends Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. The couple began dating and in August 2000 Madonna gave birth to Ritchie’s son Rocco John Ritchie. Madonna and Ritchie tied the knot in December 2000. Madonna also has an eleven year old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship with trainer Carlos Leon. In 2006, Madonna filed adoption papers to adopt a little boy named David Banda from Malawi. After a lot of controversy the adoption was finalized on May 28, 2008.
In other Madonna news, it has been reported that her brother Christopher Ciccone is writing a memoir about her. The book is being published by Simon & Schuster and will reportedly be released in mid-July. Madonna has reportedly not commented on the upcoming book. No word on if he is writing the book with his sister’s blessing.
