Offensive O'sullivan Fined and Docked Ranking Points

World champion fined £3,750 after offensive comments at China Open
Ronnie O'Sullivan's inappropriate comments at the China Open in March have cost the world champion his £2,750 prize money for the event and a further £1,000 in costs after disciplinary action taken by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association. In addition, O'Sullivan has been docked the 700 ranking points he accrued for his first-round exit at the event after his comments of a sexual nature were picked up by microphones during a press conference.

Meanwhile, a nerveless deciding-frame clearance of 71 saw China's Ding Junhui beat the Masters champion Mark Selby 6-5 to win the Jiangsu Classic in Ding's home town of Wuxi City.
