Roger Federer kept his hopes of a career grand slam alive after he secured his semi-final berth with a four-set victory over Fernando Gonzalez.
The Swiss world No1, who has never won the title at Roland Garros, lost the opening set against his Chilean opponent before finding his stride to triumph 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4.
Federer will now play the winner of the match between David Ferrer and Gael Monfils, while Rafael Nadal takes on Novak Djokovic in the other semi-final.
