Mourinho Makes Managerial Return at Inter

The former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been confirmed as the new manager of Internazionale. The Portuguese has signed a three-year contract with the Nerazzuri, and will work alongside his former Chelsea colleagues Rui Farias, Silvino Louro and André Vilas-Boas at the San Siro. Giuseppe Baresi, previously director of Inter's youth programs, will be Mourinho's assistant.

"The whole Internazionale organization takes great pleasure in welcoming Jose Mourinho and his colleagues," read a statement on the Inter website.

Mourinho left Chelsea in September last year after his side's 1-1 draw with Rosenborg at Stamford Bridge. During his time in west London Mourinho won two Premier League titles, two League Cups and an FA Cup, though the Champions League crown he won at Porto in 2004 eluded him.

Inter, this season's Serie A champions, dismissed Roberto Mancini last month despite their league success. Mourinho will be charged with bringing European success to the club, who were beaten by Liverpool in the last 16 of the Champions League this year.
