Sorry guys, I have finished the first chapter for The Angel's Heart but, it seemed that it wouldn't get sent in for some reason. Perhaps it was because the chapter was too long. Oh well, I'll try again soon so please be patient.
Here is a short story for you in the mean time...
The Prince of the Sea.
It was a dark peaceful night. The winds gently shook the sails. I looked up. The stars were so pretty tonight. And that's when I heard it.
The soft singning of the Mermaids.
I looked out and gasped, as I saw heads poking out from the water. I leaned forward and grped the hand rail of the boat tightly in fear of falling over.
The Mermaids made a passage way for something. I squinted at the mist, trying to see what was there. Just then I saw an approaching figure. As it came closer, I gasped as I saw the most handsome man ever sitting on what looked like one of those olden day carriage-like boards. It was just an inch above the water.
It had four posts on each corner and a flat roof. No side bars nothing. He was casually stretched out. His god-likness hit he.
He extended a hand and I came closer to him.
"Come my bride," he said. I was about to ask him what he meant, but he leaned over to me and silenced me with a kiss.
He pulled me and carried me to lay him on his lap. He wrapped his strong arms around me as I nearly drowned in the sensation of being held.
"Ride," he said.
The mermaids started swimming and the water beneath us, became no more than an illusion. We stopped.
"Come," he said.
He went into the water and pulled me down with him before I could protest. The water caressed my skin.
He went under water and took me with him. I looked at his god-like face as his hair floated around.
He wrapped his arms around me once more and kissed me. Opening his mouth. I kissed him back, bewildered but willing. But I soon needed to come up for air. He wouldn't let me.
I suddenly felt cold in the water. I squirmed against him, hoping he would get the message. But he wouldn't let go, I started banging against his chest. But he wouldn't relent.
i could feel myself changing, transforming. As my eyes closed, I felt myself sinking into unconsciousness......
