Wilkin in Danger of Joining Saints' List of Absentees

Rugby league: St Helens could be without Jon Wilkin against Leeds on Friday, after he was charged with tripping
St Helens are in danger of losing a fifth first-choice forward for Friday's meeting with Leeds, a rematch of the 2007 Super League grand final. Jon Wilkin, Saints' Great Britain second-row, has been summoned to a disciplinary hearing tonight charged with tripping in the 28-26 defeat at Huddersfield on Monday.

They are already without the entire front row from last year's heavy grand final defeat by the Rhinos at Old Trafford - Nick Fozzard, Keiron Cunningham and Jason Cayless - in addition to the club captain, Paul Sculthorpe. Wilkin is one of eight players in danger of suspension tonight following incidents in the Super League over the Easter weekend.
