I Got the Ben Bernanke Blues

With more news from a series of banks this week on hits from risky sub-prime assets, we revisit the origins of the credit crunch.

Sub-prime Mortgage Blues takes us on a tour of the events of the last six months of crunch, from US mortgage lending giant Countrywide to Alan Greenspan's monetary policy legacy to the rating agencies to borrowing gridlock to Jim Cramer's cries of "they know nothing" to "helicopter" Ben Bernanke's attempts to ride to the rescue.

It's more than seven minutes long but this clip's certainly complete. Oil at $100, investment banker mega-bonuses, acquisitive Chinese investors and even Paris Hilton all get a mention. And he makes it rhyme too!

Unhappy home
