Love & Hate

I wrote this one a while back...
I notice the frail submission you secrete.
I smell the pungent stench of your apparel.
Don't lie to me.
I have seen you do this before.
Nothing new.
What a wreck.
What a bad, bad wreck.
I can no longer watch, and feed your disappointment.
Your sick lust for mutilation and pain.
You get your high off my screams.
You get your laughs off my tears.
Did you ever care?
Did you ever worry?
Was I that much of a burden to you?
I wish I wasn't.
I wish I could love you.
But when it's not mutual, it's difficult.
I rest my heart, and surrender it to the soft earth.
Get down on my knees and scream.
Yell.
Let the words unspoken rush out in the form of agony.
We'll see who's the tough one now.
My skin...
It grown tougher.
There's no getting to this heart now.
