Any type of documents should be simple, precise, concise, unambiguous and grammatically perfect because user can understand quickly and they will be able to handle product easily by referring technical document or manual or help file. Simple writing is one of the major challenges in technical writing. You would be able to write grammatical perfect but not simple. So always try to write simple.

Quick Writing (Deadline)
Starting date and ending date (deadline) is very important in corporate sector. You have to conscious about deadline while starting to write the document. Though you are perfect in knowledge and creativity, however you have to follow of deadline of the project.

Understand the Audience
Understanding subject or product as well as audience is one of the major challenges for technical writers. You need to understand the audience requirements and try to satisfy through writing. There are various types of audience such as medical, engineering, general etc. According to audience your writing would be different.

English and its uses
English and its uses is one of the major challenges for tech writer. Technical writer should know the difference between British English and American English. As an example, US based company requires documentation, at that time you should know American English and its uses.

Learning Software Tools
Software Company requires person who preferably needs to be comfortable with different tools such as MS Word, Robohelp HTML, FramMaker, SnagIt, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver etc .Because companies have no time to train you. Technical writer should be computer savvy. As technical writer may need to learn more software tools as per company’s demand but the learning complicated software is one of the challenges in technical communication.

Globalization helped to create successful and simple products, as now English is universal language, however would need a lot of thought for complex products. Everyone can speak, write, listen and read English but there are some differences due to political, social, environmental and education differences. But writing across these differences is one of the challenges in technical writing.
