High Hopes for Former Hunter Flight

Horse racing: Chita's Flight will be hard to beat in the 3.30 at Taunton if she continues where she left off last season
Chita's Flight has her first run for Philip Hobbs in the 3.30 at Taunton and if she is in anything like the form she was in when romping to a fast-time victory in a hunter chase at Leicester last season, Chita's Flight is going to be hard to beat back in handicap company off a mark of 95. The right-handed course will suit her.

The selling hurdle at 1.20 is at the mercy of Great Compton if his stamina lasts out over the three miles, while Sendani, who missed a race at Kempton on Thursday when reportedly suffering a rash, looks well handicapped in the 2.55.

Livingonaknifedge may have found the race coming too soon after a gutsy win at Exeter when pulling up at Newbury last time. Give him another chance on his favored heavy ground at Haydock (2.05).

The return to seven furlongs gives Double Valentine strong prospects in Lingfield's 1.45. She looks as though she has been more fortunate with the draw than when an unlucky fifth the last time she ran over the course and distance.

A strong pace in the 3.20 looks likely and that will suit Alfresco, who failed to threaten front-running Abbondanza in a small field at Wolverhampton last time.
