Terry Trains to Spark Comeback Hope
John Terry could make a surprise return to the starting line-up against Croatia after training with England this morning.
John Terry took part in training with England this morning, boosting hopes that he could make a surprise return to the line-up for tomorrow's Euro 2008 showdown with Croatia at Wembley.
Terry has been out of action since damaging his knee in training on the day before England's defeat in Russia. His return would mean that Steve McClaren would at least be able to field one member of his first-choice central defensive partnership, with either Sol Campbell or Joleon Lescott asked to deputize for the injured Rio Ferdinand.
England need at least a draw to secure qualification for Euro 2008.
