LA Galaxy Name Gullit As Head Coach

David Beckham has a new boss at the LA Galaxy after the MLS side appointed Ruud Gullit.
The Los Angeles Galaxy have confirmed they will unveil Ruud Gullit as their new head coach today.

The former Chelsea and Newcastle boss had been strongly linked with the vacancy at the Major League Soccer club, following Frank Yallop's resignation. Yallop quit the Galaxy on Sunday to return to San Jose for a second stint in charge of the Earthquakes.

Galaxy spokesman Patrick Donnelly initially declined to comment. But the club last night publicized a press conference for today, at which former Holland midfielder Gullit will be present.

Galaxy captain David Beckham, likely to be named in Steve McClaren's England team today, is also expected to attend - alongside club president Alexi Lalas.
