O'Sullivan Jumps Out of Frame for Pot Black

Snooker: Ronnie O'Sullivan will take no part in Pot Black after he was said to have "personal commitments'.
Ronnie O'Sullivan has declined an invitation to compete in Pot Black, which will be televised by the BBC from the City Hall, Sheffield, on Saturday. The twice world champion, who cited a back injury for missing the Shanghai Masters in August, has thereby rejected a guaranteed £3,000 for one frame of snooker, and a possible first prize of £10,000 through winning three single-frame matches.

His absence is said to be prompted by "personal commitments". The field will now comprise the holder, Mark Williams, John Higgins, Graeme Dott, Shaun Murphy, Peter Ebdon, Neil Robertson, Ken Doherty and Stephen Hendry.
