Great Britain Will Not Face Webb in New Zealand Series
Rugby league: New Zealand and Leeds full-back Brent Webb said he will take a break at the end of the season.
Great Britain will not have to face the Leeds full-back Brent Webb in this autumn's home series against New Zealand. Webb said yesterday that he would take a break when the Rhinos end their Super League season "to get a few bits and pieces fixed up".
Tony Smith, the Leeds coach who will go full-time with Great Britain within the next fortnight, added five Hull players to his training squad for the New Zealand series yesterday - Gareth Raynor, Kirk Yeaman, Richard Horne, Garreth Carvell and Danny Tickle, the goal kicking second-row who receives a first Lions call-up after an impressive first season since his move from Wigan last winter.
