Mosley Admits Ecclestone Told Him of Mclaren Emails

Motor sport: FIA president Max Mosley has confirmed that Bernie Ecclestone had told him of the emails that sparked the F1 spying crisis.
The FIA president, Max Mosley, has confirmed that Bernie Ecclestone, the formula one commercial rights holder, originally alerted him to the significance of the email exchange between the McLaren-Mercedes drivers Fernando Alonso and Pedro de la Rosa which was in part responsible for triggering the revelations of the acquisition of information about Ferrari technology by the British team.

"Yes, he spoke to me about them and told me they were compromising," Mosley was quoted in La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I don't know who gave them to him, but I have a suspicion."

Meanwhile the Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has said his team are worthy constructors' title winners. "If we have won the championship because another team has not followed the rules, then we can say we did follow those rules and we won," he said. "I am pleased with this result, even if it would have been better to win in a different way."
