Heidfield and Kubica Commit to Bmw Sauber
Formula one: In a bid to become F1's third best team, BWM Sauber have re-signed drivers Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica for next season.
Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica have been re-signed to drive for the BMW Sauber team in 2008, the Swiss-based German-owned team recognizing the virtues of continuity as they seek to develop a winning machine.
Kubica emerged unhurt from a 190mph accident during the Canadian grand prix in Montreal two months ago but that incident in no way dented his confidence or composure. BMW's motorsport director Mario Theissen said: "Both Nick and Robert have delivered very strong performances in the course of this season.
"They have played a decisive role in enabling the BMW Sauber F1 team to firmly establish itself as the third best team in formula one."
