Pedersen on Course for Second World Title
Motor sport: Nicki Pedersen dominated the Czech grand prix to extend his lead in the world title series.
Nicki Pedersen dominated the Czech grand prix in Prague and, in stretching his lead in the world title series from 11 to 27 points, dominates that too. The Dane, champion in 2003, was unbeaten in all seven races to claim a maximum 24.
His closest challenger, the Australian Leigh Adams, was beaten in the semi-finals and picked up eight. Pedersen found himself contesting the final against three men outside the top eight. Scott Nicholls, battling with food poisoning, was one of them but came last.
His Britain and Coventry team-mate Chris Harris, winner of the previous grand prix in Cardiff, failed to make the semi-finals. Five races remain, the next in Malilla on August 11.
