Dreams

It kind of started being about Prom...
You bent me
You broke me
You left me on those stairs
My eyes full of tears
My dress in tatters as I peer up at the stars

You hit me
You hurt me
You shot down my wings
My faith on the ground
My life hanging by it's thin strings

You lectured me
You pestered me
You held my body down
My breath trembling in midair
My fears clouding up any space to be found

You touch me
You hold me
You comfort me still
My body pressed against yours
My dreams residing to the back of my mind
Only to be with all of my lies
