Rugby League: Penny Cashes in With New Contract at Wolves
Warrington wing protege Kevin Penny is set to sign a new four-year contract with the club.
Kevin Penny, the 19-year-old wing who has stunned the Super League with nine tries in his first six starting appearances for Warrington, will today sign a new four-year contract with the Wolves.
Richie Barnett, the former student international whom Penny has displaced, yesterday joined Salford on loan until the end of the season, the City Reds' third signing this week as they try to avoid relegation.
Wakefield are to sign Tony Martin, a New Zealand Warriors centre who has had two stints with London Broncos, on a two-year contract but they are facing a battle to retain Ben Jeffries, their Australian scrum-half who has been linked with Penrith Panthers.
