Long Set to Make Saints Comeback Against Wigan
Rugby league: St Helens plan to include Sean Long in their squad to face Wigan on Friday.
Sean Long is in line to return from his troublesome calf injury in St Helens' Super League derby against Wigan on Friday in an attempt to prove his fitness for the Challenge Cup semi-final against Bradford on Saturday week.
Long has only played once, in the quarter-final win against Warrington last month, since the champions beat Wigan in Cardiff on May 5, but will today be included in a 20-man squad.
However, Saints have doubts over Lee Gilmour, who will today discover the extent of the knee injury he suffered in last Friday's 10-4 defeat at Bradford, and also Jon Wilkin, who will appear at a disciplinary hearing tonight following his dismissal at Odsal.
