Gold for Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes in the 49ers meant that Great Britain finished top of the medals table at the ISAF World Championships in Cascais, Portugal, yesterday.

Morrison and Rhodes had controlled the event throughout the week and used favorable conditions to maintain their advantage comfortably in the final race. In the women's 470 class Christina Bassadone and Saskia Clark came close to snatching second place before having to settle for bronze.

Britain's final total of two gold medals and four bronzes saw the team retain the President of the IOC Cup, while Australia finished second with Spain and Brazil sharing third place overall.
