Cycling: Mark Cavendish Confirmed As Starter in the Tour De France
Mark Cavendish has been named in the T-Mobile team for this year's Tour de France.
Mark Cavendish has been confirmed as a member of the T-Mobile cycling team for the Tour de France.
The 22-year-old from the Isle of Man was one of the nine men named for the German team's bid to win Le Tour with Michael Rogers of Australia the man designated as T-Mobile's lead rider.
The Manxman said: "It's like a dream come true for me to ride the Tour so early in my career. I will give it everything to repay the team management for their faith in me."
Le Tour gets underway in London on July 7.
T-Mobile team: Marcus Burghardt, Mark Cavendish, Bernhard Eisel, Giuseppe Guerini, Linus Gerdemann, Kim Kirchen, Axel Merckx, Michael Rogers, Patrik Sinkewitz.
