No6 seed Ivanovic took only 19 minutes to wrap up the first set, but the Hungarian, ranked No133 in the world, rallied at the start of the second before play was interrupted for 40 minutes by the rain.
When the players reappeared, Czink took the gifted Serbian to a tie-break, but Ivanovic forced a series of errors to secure the victory and set up a meeting with either Edina Gallovits or Meilen Tu.
