Sit In The Shadows

I sit in the shadows,
Ones that get darker each minute,
Waiting patiently,
For a day that never seems to come.
One that will shine light on me,
One that I will finally know,
Exactly what I have to do.

‘Cause right now I don’t seem to know,
What is good, what is bad.
What is life, what is death.
What is right, what is wrong.
‘Cause I don’t know exactly,
What I’m supposed to feel.

One step forward and then five steps back.
I’m reaching out and grasping for something,
That’s not even there,
Only a mirage,
A figment of my imagination.
My day of greatness,
Is slowly fading away.

‘Cause right now I don’t seem to know,
What is happy, what is pain,
What is love, what is hate,
What is complete, what is empty
‘Cause I don’t know exactly,
What I’m supposed to feel.

Images of a time,
In the not so distant future,
A beautiful, strong woman,
Finally getting what she deserves.
Vividly teasing a mind that contemplates,
Such aching can bring,
True tears of awakening.

Cause right now I don’t seem to know,
What I am, what I’m not,
What I want, what I need,
What I see, what I envision,
Cause I don’t know exactly,
What I am supposed to be.

I haven't written a poem lately. This is NOT how I feel, It's just me being random, you know me (if you've read my poems):P
