Memory

No need, no greed, no gain.........no pain
I have no sympathy for it,
It contorts my very existence.
It eats away my soul, bit by bit,
Trying to convince me with little consequence.
I see evil lingering at its hem,
A thing so filthy, of such a foul stem.
No reason to believe,
None to relive.
I curse this bane,
As it creeps ever closer,
To have me slain.
It has little power,
But is most hideous in nature.
In some secret bower,
Lies someone’s true stature.
For that, I care not,
Live, I shall, my life with only the present thought.

Do you keep memories?
Only the good ones
All of them
NO, I don't
I wanna let go, but can't
