Boxing: Woods Set for Fourth Battle With Johnson
Glencoffe Johnson stopped Montell Griffin in the 11th round of their bout to set up an IBF world light-heavyweight bout with nemesis Clinton Woods.
Sheffield's IBF world light-heavyweight champion, Clinton Woods, is set to face his great rival Glencoffe Johnson for a fourth time, after the Jamaican-born Johnson stopped Montell Griffin in the 11th round of a final eliminator in Hollywood, Florida. In their previous three fights Woods and Johnson, 38, have each won once, with their third meeting ending in a draw.
Woods, 35, is first due to defend his title against Mexico's Julio César González in Las Vegas in the principal support bout to the WBC light-welterweight title fight between Ricky Hatton and José Luis Castillo of Mexico on June 23. Woods defeated González when they fought in Sheffield two years ago.
