What Does Time Mean to You?

Take advantage of time as many would agree that it is scarce. Clocks and timepieces provide people with a sense of purpose and direction in an ever changing world.
Phrases such as "Time is of the essence," "Seize the moment" and "It is later than you think" indicate the importance of regulating our individual use of time. From prehistoric calendars to the invention of the hour glass, the concept of time has regulated human behavior. With the invention of technology and the calculating of fragments that make up an hour, it is important to maximize time efficiently.

The invention of the clock or an individual time piece is everywhere. Take a look around your home and note where you find time indicators. Have you checked for a clock with hands? Can you locate a digital clock on your computer or cell phone? Do you wear a watch? For better or for worse, time regulates our busy lives.

To appreciate not only the moment but to visually enjoy examining the passage of time, there are many decorative designer time pieces that vary in style and in price. Choose the time piece that meets your needs. For example, a person who needs absolute precision such a swimmer or a public speaker, would select a time piece that regulates seconds rather than minutes. A person on vacation may want to fritter away the hours with careless disregard for micro-management. Whatever your preference, select a time piece that meets your needs to avoid being unintentionally late. In other words, it is all about timing! So, if you are about to embark on a journey and travel to a distant land, don’t be afraid to ask, "What time is it?"
