Why did we have to prove them right
And why do I now lie awake through the night?
Why did I have to give it my all
So now I fall?
Why do I have to feel so much pain
Each day again and again?
Why did you have to tell me you cared
And now you're never there?
Why do they all say they love me
When they all just chain me?
Why does my heart have to be shattered,
Torn up, broken, and tattered?
Why does it hurt more every time
But I still seem to fall for every line?
Why, after every moment of bliss
Does it have to be like this?
Why, I just can’t understand,
Could you please pick me up and put my feet back on land?
Why, after all the time
That everything was fine?
Why, after we shared so much
Every kiss, look, and every touch?
Why did you not know
That I could never just let you go?
Why do I not know what to do
