Darts Crosses the Great Divide
A ground-breaking tournament will see players from the PDO and the BDO tickle tungsten against each other.
A ground-breaking tournament has been announced that will see players from the Professional Darts Corporation and British Darts Organisation compete against each other.
The £250,000 Grand Slam of Darts will involve finalists from major tournaments over a two-year period from both rival organisations, with a 32-man field competing for a first prize of £60,000 at the Wolverhampton Civic on November 17-25.
"This tournament will be a chance for the champions of this sport to do battle in a high-profile event," said PDC chairman Barry Hearn.
"For the first time in the modern era of darts, champions from both sides of darts' divide will meet on the oche to discover the greatest of them all."
