Boxing: Hatton to Fight Castillo
Ricky Hatton has vacated his IBF light-welterweight title to set up a fight with José Luis Castillo in June.
Ricky Hatton has vacated the IBF light-welterweight title he won last month against Juan Urango so he can fight the former world lightweight champion José Luis Castillo of Mexico in June.
The IBF had said Hatton would have to face their No1 challenger, Lovemore N'dou, in his next fight but Hatton had agreed with the US television network HBO that he would face Castillo.
On Saturday, Luis Collazo, who gave Hatton the hardest night of his career last year, lost against Shane Mosley for the WBC Interim world welterweight title. Mosley will be named champion when Floyd Mayweather challenges for Oscar De La Hoya's WBC light middleweight crown in May.
