Eminem Not Engaged To Ex-Wife Kimberly Mathers

A British tabloid recently reported that rapper Akron, who is friends with Eminem, claimed the two were back together. Said Akron, "He can’t live with her, and he can’t live without her. But they are meant for each other. They are engaged again." A rep for Eminem quickly squashed the rumor. Rep Dennis Dennehy said, "Those reports are absolutely untrue."

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, and Kim were high school sweethearts who first married in 1999. They were divorced in 2001 after a tumultuous two-year marriage. The couple has an 11-year old daughter, Hailie Jade. The two were estranged for years and then Eminem announced during a radio show in December 2005 that the two were going to get remarried. They tied the knot for a second time in January 2006 with the hopes that this time the marriage would last. It wasn’t meant to be. A mere three months later Eminem announced that he was filing for divorce.

An episode of ABC’s 20/20 aired Friday and Kim Mathers appeared on the show. She said, "Money is great, but it doesn’t make your husband stay at home with you. Or sleep in the same bed with you. Him being on the road and on tour – that was like the big one. I mean, constant infidelities, all the time." Eminem released a statement to 20/20 through his spokesperson that read: "For the sake of our children that we raise together, I have made a decision to not participate in matters such as this." It just seems that these two can’t seem to get away from one another.
