Laurie Conrad is a pianist and composer living in Ithaca, NY. Some of her honors include: Who’s Who in American Music, The International Who’s Who in Music (Cambridge), The International Encyclopedia of Women Composers, Who’s Who in American Pianists, The Dictionary of International Biography and Marquis’ Who’s Who in America.

This photo was taken Christmas Eve, 2006, on the living room couch. Left to right: Carolyn McConnell, myself, & then Carolyn’s children Elisabeth & Ian. Carolyn is the daughter of Louise McConnell, who was my singer for many years & the singer on the Early Songs CD. The Unsung Songs cycle I have been revising as a piano Quintet was originally written as a piano solo in memory of Louise, a few years after her death. I speak more about Louise in Realms of Light - about our musical partnership, but also my experiences with her from other realms since her death from cancer.

I have mentioned Carolyn & the children throughout these Journal entries - & thought you might enjoy finally seeing a photo of us all.
