The Website Parisexposed.com, was launched on January 23 and for a $39.97 fee voyeurs could view many of Hilton's personal belongings including bank statements, credit card receipts, Hilton's passport, her personal diaries, home videos, love notes, and many photos. The items were reportedly auctioned off after Hilton did not pay the rent at the storage facility. Hilton now claims the moving company was supposed to pay the storage fees.

Hilton said in a statement, "I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting me and my sisters' (sic) private personal belongings for their personal gain." Reportedly, Hilton put the possessions in storage when she and sister, Nicky, were moving to a new house. She claims that she was "shocked and surprised" that the moving company did not pay the $208 bill. The owners claim they repeatedly tried to contact her to pay, but that she never responded to their calls.

According to the lawsuit Nabil and Nabila Haniss of Culver City, California bought the contents of the storage unit for $2,775 and immediately sold them to entrepreneur Bardia Persa for $10 million. Persa created the Website Parisexposed.com. Hilton's rep, Elliott Mintz, said, "How would anyone feel if all one's personal items were out there for all to see? She wants her things back. Her possessions are still in the hands of strangers." Her lawyer, Gregory Korn, said in the lawsuit, "Unscrupulous individuals can use such information to steal Hilton's identity, or even worse, to stalk and even physically harm Hilton."
