Dame (she prefers Miss) Vivienne Westwood has let photographer Juergen Teller into her home for I-D Magazine, and very floral it is too. In the accompanying interview the former anarchist reveals her ideal cabinet. Richard Branson would be prime minister, while Bono would be international development secretary. Journalist Robert Fisk would be foreign secretary, with Liberty's Shami Chakrabarti at the Home Office, the British Museum's Neil MacGregor culture secretary and economist Noreena Hertz chancellor.
Ever had the dream where Meryl Streep is singing to you? "You are the dancing queen. Young and sweet. Only 17. Dancing queen. Feel the beat from the tambourine. You can dance. You can jive. Having the time of your life. See that girl. Watch that scene. Digging the Dancing Queen." What! You never have? In any event, Streep is about to do Abba. Variety magazine reports that she has signed up to her first full-blown musical and will star in Mamma Mia. Phyllida Lloyd, who directed the stage version in London and on Broadway, will make her movie directorial debut while Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson will be executive producers along with Abba's Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus
What do Sir John Nott and Preston from Celebrity Big Brother have in common? They've both stormed out from the BBC. Sir John took exception at being called a "here today, gone tomorrow" politician by Sir Robin Day. Preston was upset by the banter from Never Mind The Buzz-cocks host Simon Amstell and walked out halfway through recording. Amstell was reading extracts from the autobiography of Preston's wife, Chantelle Houghton, including one about Marks & Spencer. "I've always loved M&S but it has always been too expensive for me," she writes. The clothes made her feel "posh and upmarket". Team captain Bill Bailey picked a member of the audience to take Preston's place.
Sylvester Stallone is an Everton fan. Apparently it's true and he'll be at Goodison Park this weekend watching Everton v Reading. Stallone will be guest of new shareholder Robert Earl, founder of Planet Hollywood. Chief executive Keith Wyness told the Liverpool Echo: "It's pretty exciting news. I've spoken to Sylvester and he has a soft spot for Everton."
