Djimi Traore Signs for Portsmouth

Soccer: Less than five months after he moved to Charlton for £2m, Portsmouth have signed Djimi Traore for half that price.
Djimi Traore today moved for the second time in less than five months, completing a £1m transfer to Portsmouth.

Then-Charlton manager Iain Dowie paid £2m to bring Traore to the Valley from Liverpool back in August, but he made just 13 appearances for the Addicks, and found himself surplus to requirements under new boss Alan Pardew, who is keen to raise funds so he can bring in a few new faces of his own this January.

Traore has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract at Fratton Park, and is joined by France Under-21 midfielder Arnold Mvuemba, who has signed on loan from Rennes until May, with an option for Pompey to buy him outright at the end of the season.
