Athletics: Farah Urged Not to Go to Kenya
Although Mo Farah is determined to run in Kenya, he's been advised to concentrate solely on running indoors in Europe.
Mo Farah confirmed yesterday that he hopes to add the 3,000m gold medal at the National Indoor Arena on March 4 to the European cross-country title he won in Italy earlier this month. He then wants to travel to Kenya to compete in the world cross-country championships in Mombassa 20 days later.
"If I was him I'd concentrate solely on the European indoors, make a really good job of it and win it," said Ian Stewart, the only man to win a European indoor gold medal and world cross country championship title in the same year. "In Mombassa he's going to have to take on 60 top Africans. He would make more capital out of winning the European Indoors in Birmingham."
