Andy Murray could play for Scotland in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi after it was revealed that tennis would be added to the programme of sports. Tennis was one of two sports, along with archery, that the Commonwealth Games Federation decided at their meeting in Kuala Lumpur should form part of the programme when India stage the games for the first time. However, snooker and billiards, both of which the host country wanted to add to the schedule, will not be allowed after officials decided a maximum of 17 sports should be contested.
