Formula One: No Debut for Lewis Hamilton As Mclaren Pick Raikkonen and De La Rosa for Brazilian Gp

McLaren will stick by Kimi Raikkonen and Pedro de la Rosa for the season-ending Brazilian GP.
British prodigy Lewis Hamilton will have to wait until next season for his formula one debut after McLaren bosses confirmed Pedro de la Rosa will partner Kimi Raikkonen in the Brazilian grand prix.

Rumours had circulated in recent weeks that Hamilton might be drafted in for de la Rosa for the season-ending GP next weekend, but team chiefs decided to stick with the experienced pair.

"After the disappointing race we had in Suzuka, I am looking forward to getting back on track and working with the team to finish the year on a high," said De la Rosa.

Norbert Haug, vice-president of Mercedes motorsport, McLaren's engine supplier, added: "We certainly want to end a difficult season with a good result for Kimi and Pedro.

"We have won four out of the last eight grands prix here; a fifth would be a good conclusion to a season in which we wanted to finish first and finally ended up third."
