There's a new character now!! hehe hope you guys enjoy (:
Amber's POV
Ryan takes his phone out and shows us a text:
"Hey Ryan, it's me Will Stockston. I know you are like a tight brother to Brandon so I'm going to tell you this. Last night, when I was on my way to Chase Andrew's party from work, I saw Brandon just sitting in his car, parked in front of Ashwake Park. I wasn't sure what he was doing so I decided to go over there and talk to him. When I got over there, he saw me and told me to eff off then drove away. He seemed pretty angry about something. When I was driving to Chase's house, I then see 2 cars collide. One of them was Brandon's car and the other was Michael Kilter. None of them were injured badly enough to be in the hospital. Then all of a sudden, they got in a fight. I'm not so sure what happened after but I think it is part of the reason why Brandon is in the hospital."
Ryan then shows us another text:
"Dude, it's me Josh. Did you know Michael Kilter was at the party last night? It was so weird because he had blood dripping on his shirt. I heard about Brandon. I hope he's okay. Tell me feedback please, everyone's getting worried."
I read both texts over and over again. Brandon, was beat up by some guy named Michael Kilter?
"Who is Michael Kilter?" Tiffany asks.
"He was on the football team at Oakland High School. Before one of the games, Brandon caught him doing steroids and told on him. Michael was then expelled and sent off to some military camp from what I heard. He was star quarterback, football captain, dated this hot cheerleader, got into Stanford for early acceptance and even got a scholarship for that until that day. That day when Brandon told on Michael and his steroids changed Michael's life. He sent an email to Brandon saying that he will make him pay or something like that. I guess, now he's back," Ryan says.
You got to be kidding? I thought to myself. Tiffany and I both became speechless.
"You guys can't tell anyone about this," says Ryan. "If you guys do, Brandon would explode."
Tiffany and I both pinky promised Ryan. Wow I thought to myself. I can't believe Brandon has an enemy.
"Amber, you and your friends may visit Brandon now," my dad says as he escorts Mr. and Mrs. Charlton out the door. "Just remember, you kids have school tomorrow so go home early."
We all got up and went to go see Brandon. He was on the 11th floor in room 11. We both walk inside his room and see a handsome teenage boy lying on a hospital bed. That teenage boy is my best friend, Brandon.
"I-I can't look at him, I'm going to wait outside," says Tiffany as she tries to hold back her tears. She walks out the door, leaving me and Ryan with our dear friend that is right now in a coma with a bad right leg.
I started to tear up. I can't believe I'm seeing Brandon like this. I looked over at Ryan. I can tell he was feeling the same way. His head was down, his hair all messy from pulling it out so much when he heard the bad news. We were basically in shock.
I went over to hold Brandon's hand. It was nice and soft.
"I-I can't believe this," Ryan finally say. "I can't believe all this is happening. This is supposed to be senior year. An unforgettable year of joy, not tragedy."
I nodded in agreement. I didn't feel like saying anything. No words could come out of my mouth.
Ryan and I stayed in Brandon's room for another hour. It was still silent and my hand was still in Brandon's hand.
"Sweetie, it's time for you and your friends to go," my dad says.
I nodded and gave my dad a hug. "Thanks for everything," I tell my dad. "Tell mom I say hi too."
Ryan thanked my dad as well and he took Tiffany and I home. We were all still quiet on the way. He drops off Tiffany first.
"You know, you mean a lot to him," Ryan starts to say, trying to break the silence.
I couldn't help but blush. It feels nice that someone like me would mean a lot to someone like Brandon.
"Thanks, you're like a brother to him," I say.
"No, you mean way more than a sister to him," Ryan starts to say.
"Huh? What you mean."
"Never mind. We're here," Ryan says as he parks the car.
"Thanks for the ride," I say giving him a quick hug.
I walk into my house. It was empty. I went into my room and did some work. After finishing with my work, I took a shower and went to bed. I looked at my clock. It's 11:11pm. The time that I really need right now.
I close my eyes and made a wish. This wish better come true.
