Cricket: Ashes Team Loses Medical Chief
The ECB lost another member of its Ashes team as chief medic Peter Gregory resigned.
Peter Gregory, the England and Wales Cricket Board's chief medical officer, has resigned, causing a further break-up of the Ashes-winning backroom team.
England have lost Troy Cooley, their bowling coach, Tim Boon, the team analyst, and now the man who, because of the past year's injury woes, became known as Dr Death.
Gregory, who is leaving to join a charity working with poor communities in Romania, said: "Cricket is a passion of mine.
"But the role has grown substantially and has now become a full-time position involving a great deal of time away from home.
"I have wanted to help in the developing world and I will now have an opportunity."
